Dania Beach, nicknamed "Broward's First City," is located in Broward County, Florida, and is considered part of the South Florida metro area. It is home to one of the largest jai alai frontons in the United States, Dania Jai-Alai. It is also the home of the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum. Starting as a settlement called Modello, most of this city's 35 original residents were of Danish ancestry, and they opted to change their town's name to Dania. In 1999, Dania formally changed its name to Dania Beach; however Dania is still commonly used to refer to the city.
So if you are in "Dania" (which is south of Dania Beach-proper) and are in need of self storage, look for Handy Storage-Stirling Road at 420 Stirling Road (highway 848), just as the railroad tracks and Stirling intersect, and just a few miles northwest of Mullikin Park.
