Hallandale is a city in Broward County, Florida, named after Luther Halland, an employee with Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad. Hallandale is part of the South Florida metro area, and is best known as the home of the Gulfstream Park horse racing track, which hosts the Florida Derby.
